My parents arrived on Christmas Eve and promptly filled the tree full of presents.
Apparently one of the kids got a hold of the camera, most likely Jacyn, and took this close up picture of Rocky. I liked it too much, so I had to include it on this post.
My parents let the kids open up one of the presents that they brought with them. Here’s one of them where we tied them to the banister.
Here’s the kids with their presents.
A close up of their gifts. They are ornaments that open up and a music boxes inside. Letty got the Snowman, Thomas the Santa, Ace the Tree and Jacyn the Nutcracker.
Then we let the kids open their traditional present of PJ’s, made by me, their mom. They also each got a little Dr. Seuss stuffed animal from my parents.
I had to snap this picture of Dan going outside in the middle of the night Christmas Eve in his flip flops. He has officially become a true St. Georgian (if that’s what we are called), wearing flip flops in the middle of winter. We had a good laugh about that one.
Christmas morning was so much fun. The kids woke up at 5:00 a.m., but my parents were able to convince them to stay in bed for 30 more minutes. Then there was no stopping them, at least Thomas. He snuck down and saw what Santa had brought them then ran back upstairs to tell the girls what they got and they all came running downstairs. I pretended like I didn’t hear them for as long as I could, about 6:00 a.m., then I was forced to get up and join in on the fun.
This year ended up with a musical theme somehow. Letty got a piano that can teach you how to play and it also has a microphone. Thomas got a paper jamz guitar, and Jacyn got a freestanding microphone and some electronic drums.
Jacyn and Letty are wearing dresses that their Grandma made them in these next pictures.
Thomas was so excited when he opened up this Nerf gun that he got from his Papa Ron.
Ace loved his ride on/push dump truck that Grandma and Papa gave him. Pushing that toy around really gets him walking fast now.
Jacyn also got a new dress up/dance outfit. The girls get to start taking dance lessons starting in January.
Thomas was so happy to get the RC Helicopter that he has asked for from his sister Letty.
Letty got some cute Hot Pink skinny jeans from Grandma and some neon pink and green tennis shoes from her Dad.
Ace got these adorable overalls from Grandma that she made for him.
When the sun finally came up the valley was covered in fog. It was awesome.
Christmas night Thomas and Ace wore their matching PJ’s that Grandma had made for them.
The kids all had a great time figuring out Ace’s new toys and playing with him, as well as their own toys. Ace is wearing another pear of overalls and a shirt that his Grandma made for him and Jacyn is wearing a dress that I made her in this next picture.
It was a great Christmas.
