Treasure Hunt and Washington County Fair

Today was the first day of school for Thomas and all of the other kids, except for the kindergartners. The kindergartners only go to school by appointment for the next two days of school. It's a Treasure Hunt appointment. The kids get to meet their teacher one-on-one and get to know their classroom via the treasure hunt. At the end they get a prize (a eye patch and a piece of candy). Letty had a great time doing the treasure hunt and really liked wearing her eye patch afterwards.

After Thomas got out of school we decided to head over to the Washington County Fair. There was a bear show going on right when we got there. Here a a couple pictures from that show:

The bears were so fun to watch and learn about.

We walked around the fair and checked out all the booths. We walked through the carnival area and the kids really wanted to ride a ride, but they were so expensive anywhere from $3.00 a person to $6.00 a person. For three kids, that's just too much money for a stupid little ride that only lasts a minute or two. So, we watched a motocross show, had some food and then came home.
