Letty had been saying that she wanted to see the ocean. That everyone on the cartoons were always going to the beach and she has never been to the beach. Right when she was telling me that she looked over to the television and there was a cartoon on and what were they doing in the cartoon? Going to the beach and she said “See…..” She was right. So, Dan and I decided that before school started we were going to drive to California for a weekend and take the kids to the beach. We left late that night, stopped at a rest stop along the way and slept (a little), and then drove straight to the beach. We stayed one night in a hotel and then got up early the next morning, went back to the beach and drove home that night. It was a whirlwind trip, but it was definitely worth it.
