My entire family came into town over the 24th of July weekend. It was the perfect time to throw a birthday extravaganza since my sister Marin’s birthday is July 19th, Jacyn’s birthday is July 23rd, my brother Wayne’s birthday is July 24th and Thomas’s birthday is July 25th.
We made three cakes.
One for Thomas, which is a Pokeball, from Pokemon, which is something that he was really into this summer.
One for my sister and brother which was an ice cream cake.
My brother Wayne and his wife Allison.
My sister Marin and brother Tyler
And one for Jacyn, which was the most extravagant. It was a lot easier than it looks. Thank goodness for the Barbie dolls that have swimsuit type body suits already molded to them, all I had to do was decorate the bottom of the skirt. She absolutely loved it.
The morning of the party my Dad took the kids to Toys R Us so that they could pick out their presents. He used to do that with me and my sister when we were little and we loved it, so we knew that they would love it as well. Thomas picked out a video game, Letty picked out an MP3 player and Jacyn picked out a princess camping chair.
At the party we played a game that all the kids love. We fill balloons with toys and then they each get to run out and grab one and pop it to get their prize. It’s so funny to see them trying to pop the balloons and their different reactions.
Thomas tried and tried to pop his balloon and it just wouldn’t pop, so he ended up ripping it apart and we got these two consecutive pictures showing exactly that.
The rest of these pictures are of people at the party.
The girl cousins
My Dad (Papa Ron) and Ace (saying “I don’t know?”)
Jacyn
Thomas
Letty
My friends since kindergarten, Stephanie and Bridgett
My sister-in-law Tammy and her newest baby daughter Violet
My Uncle Brian
And some posing pictures of Me, my sister Marin and my brother Tyler. We were having some fun with the camera, if you can’t tell.
Isn’t my brother so cute! At least there was one or two pictures of Marin in there and one or two of me as well. None of Dan though. Oh well.
I’ll end this post with a picture of Ace doing his “I don’t know?” pose and the kids camping in the backyard with their Aunt Marin. I’m sure that is a memory that will last a lifetime.
