Dan and my parents went golfing this morning, so Marin and I took the kids on Trax downtown to see the parade.
We didn’t really have a plan on where we would go, so it was just a shot in the dark to even get a good spot. People camp out overnight along the parade route to get a good spot, so we were pretty lucky to end up where we did. The kids were pretty bummed that they didn’t throw out candy at this parade and we got there late, so we missed a big part of it, but it was still fun.
You can tell that Ace’s eye is swollen and red in this picture from his infection. It was already getting a lot better from the antibiotics. He was still happy though!
Letty’s mosquito bites, that she got after sleeping outside in the tent and from camping a few days earlier, really swelled up. They were hurting pretty bad too. This picture really shows how swollen her little arm got. Almost every mosquito bite she got did that same thing. The doctor said that happens sometimes and that it wasn’t an allergic reaction or anything.
