Letty’s 7th Birthday

Letty’s birthday this year was so much fun.  She had said to me a few months before her birthday that she wanted to ride a horse someday so badly and wondered if she would ever get to ride a horse.  It got me thinking and I remembered that we had someone in our Ward who owned horses and so Dan talked to him and he said that we could bring the kids over and they could ride his horses for her birthday.  I was able to keep it a surprise up until about a week before her birthday when someone on the school bus accidentally let the cat out of the bag.  She was so excited.  We did a horse themed party for her and it turned out great.

Here’s Letty before the party in her new shirt that Grandma made for her.

We went straight over to the stables once everyone arrived and when Letty saw the white horse she was even more excited.  Her favorite horses are all white.Letty, Grandma and White HorseSitting in front of Letty's Favorite Horse

Thomas got to ride the horse all by himself (no one guiding the horse for him) and he was so excited.  He was the only kid that was able to do that!

After the horse riding we came back home and had cupcakes and broke a pinata.  It took a lot of driving around town, but eventually I was able to find some packages of little horses to be able to put onto the tops of each of the cupcakes.  There was even an all white horse, just for Letty.

Thomas was the oldest, so we made him wait until very last to hit the piñata.  He wasn’t very happy about that, but we knew that once we gave him the bat he was going to whack that piñata so hard that it would break right open and then no one else would have a chance to hit it, and that’s exactly what happened.

I think all the kids had a really fun time.  This was by far the easiest party for me to put together and the most successful.  Gotta Love It!

So, here’s a little info about our 7 year old daughter, Letty Jacqueline Drown:

Letty is approximately 4’4” tall.  She’s one of the tallest girls in her grade and taller than a lot of kids in the grades above her.  She only weighs 50 lbs., so yeah, she’s pretty skinny.

Her favorite colors are Red, White and Blue.

She loves for me to curl her hair, even though it takes a ton of hairspray for it to stay for only just a few hours.

Her favorite food is tuna fish.  She could eat tuna fish for breakfast,  lunch and dinner if I let her.
