Easter

This easter began the same as the last few years.... getting silk ties ready to cut up to dye some eggs. My parents came down this year and we stopped by the DI and found these ties that we thought would work perfectly. While I was cutting them up I noticed that the red and blue tie in the front was made really well, so I looked at the tag and it said it was made in Italy (not China like every single other tie we've used). I kept the tag with the tie makers name on it and looked it up later and found out that it was an Italian designer tie, which is what I suspected, but luckily it wasn't expensive. It wouldn't have mattered if it was expensive anyway, it made an awesome looking egg.

Here are all the eggs all dyed. The black tie above that has presents on it didn't work too well, the egg was barely dyed at all, even though the tie was 100% silk.

The Arts Festival was going on while my parents were here so we headed over to check it out. This was my first time attending the Arts Festival since we moved here, it was pretty cool to see some of the great artists we have around here. When we got there Jacyn had fallen asleep so my mom picked her up and carried her like a sack of potatoes.

After leaving the festival we went to this little shop that I've never been in before and found these black licorice pipes. My mom and I love black licorice, so she bought us each one. They were yummy and cute!

My parents also brought down their old 4 Wheeler to give to us. We are so excited to have this new toy to play with.

I think Bella enjoys chasing us while we are riding around as well.

If that's not a happy dog I don't know what is.

Grandma was a great baby-sitter while we played around on the 4 Wheeler, even though Ace was a little fussy.

Jacyn just liked to wear the helmets.

She even tried to wear this big helmet and ride her bike around. It was a little tough, since the helmet kept trying to weigh her head down.

We had a great Easter with my parents and we all had a great time with our Easter presents.
