Every year my mom’s family tries to get together and go camping at Palisades State Park. We haven’t been able to make it for the last few years, but everything worked out this year so we were able to go. Unfortunately the only other family members that made it this year were my Mom and Dad and my Uncle Brian and his family. We had so much fun with them. My Uncle Brian and Aunt Annabelle have two kids that are approximately the same age as Thomas and Letty and they really get along well, so they all had a blast together over the weekend.
The lake is a non-motorized boat lake, so my parents brought their kayak and their inflatable kayak and we all had a fun time on those. We also rented a paddle boat for a few hours on one of the days and had some fun on it as well.
There is a playground there and we were camped right next to it, so the kids were able to go get some energy out there. Thomas and Letty had fun snaking their bodies through the monkey bars. They told me that they were “stuck.”
Our tent has this little door on the side, kind of like a doggie door. Ace thought it was fun to crawl in and out of that little door.
The kids had a ton of fun catching minnows with some nets that my mom brought for them. You can see the shadows of the minnows in the buckets. Ace thought they were pretty cool.
Thomas got pretty good at paddling the kayak all by himself.
Talia and Letty did pretty good as well.
My dad modified their kayak so that he could fish off of it by himself. Here he is taking Thomas out to fish.
Kayaking with Grandma
Ace eating some yummy watermelon, and two other cute pictures of our littlest man.
A couple cute pictures of Jacyn.

Dan and Letty on a little hike.
The kids had some fun posing for the camera. Here a few of the best pictures.
I liked this one because I caught Jacyn in a mid-air jump.
When we were play Bocce ball Jacyn and Letty put the balls in their shirts and it was so funny I had to take a picture.
For some reason we haven’t gone camping as much as we would like in the past few years, so it was nice to get to spend some time with family and get to go camping in such a beautiful place.
